Mike, 55 (nearly) is a good age no matter the aches and strains😊 Always good to have a plan and amend as necessary👍 To be out in the mountains under the stars wild camping is just the best. Love that walk along Ben Crom Reservoir (though not the road walk along Silent Valley😊). Agree that fitness can make a big difference and I would love to see some more Mountain Bunny action in the future😊
@@gerrymcveigh I’ll certainly be back in the Mournes but will probably head more to the west side. I’d also cut down how far I reckon I can travel. I’ll also be getting my hill walking fitness back up. The Silent Valley walk just goes on forever. The Ben Crom reservoir walk is much nicer.
Tough hike Mike. Happy New Year from Cheshire 😉 Happy Birthday for Yesterday 🥳 and looking forward to more bushcrafting and maybe not mountain walking🥴 vids this year!! Stay safe😊 Mark
Cheers Mark, after a hot bath with epsom salts, and a few days for the aching muscles to return to normal i'd probably give the hills another go. I used to love the hills, I was fitter as i was doing them more regularly a few years ago. There will certainly be more vids on the way this year. I'd love to crack 1000 subscribers and get the watch time up also. Happy New Year to you also. Mike
@@davidf4897 Cheers David, yes it certainly was an ambitious route. A route that sounded far easier on paper than it actually was under foot. On reflection it was enjoyable as well as highlighting a need to improve my hill’s fitness again.
Great video Mike and belated Happy birthday 🎂 for yesterday mate 👍
Cheers Mick, I found this hike very tough on the legs. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Hope New Years was good for you.

Happy birthday Mike. As soon as I heard your route I thought it ambitious. But you are out there and did it. Well done!

Mate, there was quite a bit of profanity coming from me during this. Will go back, but better prepared and more realistic.
